SOUTH NORFOLK MP Richard Bacon has welcomed the good progress made by EDF Energy in their 200,000 scheme to overhaul Diss's ageing power supplies.

Mr Bacon was taken on a helicopter tour of overhead power lines, before meeting the project team working on Skelton Road in Diss.

Mr Bacon said: “EDF Energy know that the people of Diss are not happy with the reliability of power supplies to the town over the years and I think they themselves have accepted that it has not been good enough”.

“However, EDF Energy are clearly working hard to improve power supplies to Diss.  Good progress has already been made and I trust EDF Energy will keep up the pace”.
