Richard Bacon has been re-elected as the Member of Parliament for South Norfolk following the General Election on  Thursday 6 May 2010.

Mr Bacon, who has served as the MP for South Norfolk since 2001, was returned with an increased majority of almost 11,000 votes. 


Mr Bacon said: “I would like to thank the people of South Norfolk for once again placing their trust in me and I am honoured to be returned to Westminster as their Member of Parliament.”

“I will continue to serve my constituents to the best of my ability and one of my main priorities will be to campaign for the Long Stratton bypass.”
